To The Man At Wal-Mart

Let me just say, I'm just writing this post to vent. I'm not expecting it to go anywhere. I'm curious if you all do the same thing. Be warned there are gifs at the end featuring a middle finger. So. Yeah you've been warned, also be aware of foul language.

Sir, you may only remember me as the "fat bitch" who smiled at you as you walked down the isle because that's all I am to you. You stared at me as I walked down the isle which made me wonder if I possibly had hair dye on my face or maybe there was something on me that I didn't notice. I smiled back at you awkwardly because you just wouldn't stop staring at me. What you think I didn't notice is that as you walked past me I heard you laughing. I'd like to know exactly why you were laughing? Was there something on my face? Was there something on my shirt that I hadn't noticed? I'd really like to know.

Let me just say that what you don't know is that my hair may have been dishevelled because I had literally finished dyeing it 3 hours prior to me being in that Walmart. What you don't know is that I've been on the road since 7am picking up donations for the homeless in the area. I've driven to and from Tampa TWICE within a matter of 6 hours because I was taking someone too and from work. What you don't know is that I haven't been home since 10 am. My only time I was "home" was when I was at my cousins dyeing my hair for those two hours I had in between trips to Tampa. I didn't have a hair tie on me, nor a brush or mirror. My hair was CRAZY looking and I looked like a damn tired mess, but wouldn't you be? What you don't realize is that I have some pretty damn decent hearing when I was to and I am extremely attentive to my surroundings.

You are damn right that I noticed that you followed me down an isle taking pictures of me. By that point I was already pissed because you were rude as hell to me. My Resting Bitch Face game was STRONG and you know what, you deserved it because every other person in that store got a smile from me and I told them that I hope they have a wonderful night. And I meant it. Why? Because you never know what someone is going through in their life. Your smile could be the difference between life and death. A smile, or a nice gesture can make someones day or rudeness can ruin someones day.

You being rude and taking pictures to try and humiliate me, was wrong and as a grown ass man you should know it. It was flirting, it wasn't anything but politeness. I may look like an exhausted mess, but after the day I had you would be too.  Maybe if I was a confrontational person I would have called you out on it, and I really should have but you know what. Why waste my time on a person like you? I was angry, but only for a short time because people like you don't deserve my time of day or any persons time of day. Why waste it on a ass. This is what I have to say to you.

I think those two gifs perfectly sum up how I'm feeling right now.

Do you smile at random strangers just because you can? I ALWAYS have ever since I was a child. I don't know why I do it, but I feel it's polite. If someone looks at me, my natural instinct is to smile. I don't expect a smile back or anything. But I also don't expect someone to laugh at me or take pictures of me in a store just because I smiled at them.

  2. First of all, those GIFs are win.

Second, what a complete asshole! It seriously amazes me how rude people can be. Good for you for being the bigger person, which is so hard to do. Karma will get him, don't worry.

  3. Who does something like that??? I really don't understand people sometimes. As much as I wish I could brush something like that off, I'm sure it would really affect me just because I take things so personally. I'm glad that you can see that person for what he is: a piece of shit with no regard to other's feelings. Sorry you had to go through that.

  4. I know it's ridiculous how rude some people can be. I'm one of those people who just try and avoid confrontation because it honestly stresses me out. My Mom told me I should have "clocked him in the nose". Le sigh. I'm not worried at all :) I said the same thing! Thanks love!

  5. It took me a while to brush it off because it really bothered me. What bothered me the most I think is that he was laughing and taking pictures so I felt like I was going to end up on that People of Walmart website. There's no reason to be sorry at all! It's just something that happens unfortunately in this day and age. Why people think it's okay is beyond me!

  6. I love those GIFs, especially Mrs. Doubtfire! (Awesome movie!!!!!) What an ass that man, or should I say rather, "overgrown child", he was...people shouldn't judge based on appearance, you never know what someone is doing/going through at the time. I'm sorry you had to deal with such a sorry piece of work.

Also, HUGE kudos to you for helping out other people who are less fortunate :) that makes you beautiful in my book, no matter what your hair looks like!
